Wednesday, February  15:  Guest Speaker – Debbie Hayward – “Ikebana” – Japanese Style of Floral Arrangements”.

 

Saturday, March 11: 7^th Annual Yorkton Seedy Saturday – 12:30-4:00 p.m. – Dr. Brass School. Displays and guest speakers.

 

Wednesday, March 15:  Guest Speaker – Moira Waelchli, owner of Florissima Flowers & Plants   –  “Growing and Caring for Orchids”

 

Friday, Sat., Sunday, March 24,25, 26   –  Gardenscape in Saskatoon. Bus trip via Westerhaug Bus Lines on March 25^th ; Members – $45.00, Non-members – $55.00…. Door entry included in this price(Cancelled)

 

 

Wednesday, April 19: Guest Speaker – Warren Crossman – “Ornamental & Native Grasses for the Local Area”

 

Saturday, April ____ : SHA “Spring Into Gardening” Workshop hosted by Spiritwood Hort. Society

 

Wednesday, May 17: Guest Speaker – Frank Woloschuk – “Plants, Roots, Rhizome Divisions & Cuttings-How To”.  New Plants for 2017.

 

Friday, May 26:  Spring Plant & Bulb Sale – Parkland Mall – Set up 8:00-9:30 a.m.  One day sale only.

 

Wednesday, June 21:  6:00 p.m. Annual Pot Luck Supper. Location:  Sherry & Ken Pasloski – Cherrydale Road.   Tour their yard, supper, and meeting to follow.  Bring your own lawn chairs please.  Members only and significant other.

 

Sun., Mon., Tues. –  July 16, 17, 18 : S.H.A. 11^th Annual Bus Tour – Kindersley, Leader area

 

Friday, July 21: Yorkton in Bloom Yard & Garden Bus Tours – 9:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. Deadline for entries is July 7^th, judging is July 10. Self guided tours on July 22. Watch newspaper for list of winners and viewing times.

 

Thursday (set-up) & Friday (judging & show), August 10^th & 11: Sask. Hort. Assoc. Prov. Horticultural Show & Competition hosted by Kamsack Horticultural Society

 

Tuesday, August 15:  Yorkton Annual Flower & Vegetable Display Show at St. Gerard`s Parish Hall.  Set up is between 8:00 a.m.-11:30.  The show is open 1:00-5:00.  Coffee and dainties – 1:00-5:00 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 20:  Guest Speaker – John Tropin – “Water Plants & Fish Ponds”

 

Friday, Sept. 22:  Fall Plant & Bulb Sale – Parkland Mall – Set up 8:00-9:30 a.m.  One day sale only.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 18:  Speaker – Sonja Pawliw – “Creating and Maintaining a Terrarium”. Member participation – Recipes handed in to Liz for booklet.  Membership renewal & AGM tickets available.

 

Friday & Saturday, Oct. 13 & 14 – Tentative date:  Sask.  Hort. Assoc. Provincial Convention & AGM – Hosted by TBA

 

Wednesday, Nov. 22:  Yorkton Annual General Meeting & Supper Banquet at St. Mary’s Parish Hall -Yorkton.  Entertainment – Video from Yorkton Arts Council.   Silent Auction closes at  9:30 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 29:  6:00 p.m.  Board of Directors Meeting & Program Planning Meeting to follow.  Location:  Mano’s Restaurant – 6:00 p.m.
