Bursaries are to be used for permanent gardening items which can be used again year after year:  growing tables, planters, grow lights, gardening books, garden tools, or teaching aids related to gardening.   Money can be used for indoor gardening projects or education during the school year.

If you are doing an outdoor project, money may be used for planters, garden implements, and perennials, trees or shrubs (these are considered permanent and on-going).

Bursaries are not to be used for seeds or bedding plants or anything that is considered “disposable” after one gardening season.  The goal of the bursaries is to provide you, the teacher, with permanent tools and supplies that may be used now and for future students.

Each successful applicant is required to provide a written report at the end of the gardening (school) year, complete with pictures of their projects.

Receipts from your purchases must also be submitted.
