From Seed to Plant to Garden Presentation

Gardeners:    Allona Zeiben, John Tropin, Frank Woloschuk
          spoke  on “ From Seed to Plant to Garden”

Some of the presentation highlights:

•    Allows one to grow plant varieties not locally available.
•    Seeds are cheaper than plants.
•    Plant seeds in plastic/peat pots or trays.
•    Jar Method – add seeds to damp peat moss in jars with lids, pull out and plant seedling when ready into trays or pots.
•    Harden plants off outside for a few days and plant when danger of Frost is over.
•    Put in garden or raised bed/container with added fertilizer.
•    Enjoy the fruits of your labour later in the summer.
